Wooster.edu Redesign
In addition to incorporating the new visual assets, this new website tackles a variety of pain points and structural limitations of Wooster’s previous environment, and includes the following feature enhancements:
A complete integration of news.wooster.edu, woosteralumni.org, and wooster.edu to ensure we are using our stories, videos, and other multimedia to connect visitors to the desired take actions.
A dynamic homepage that sells but also does more to drive our goals, market upcoming events, and push visuals and stories of our work.
Enhanced multimedia presentation throughout each section.
Multiple page templates and widget options to reduce the need for recurring development resources.
Improved site search by content type and SEO strategies that tie into our organic and paid marketing plans to drive traffic to the site.
Intentional news, experiential learning, Independent Study, alumni and faculty profile development that is tagged and searchable across disciplines so we can use stories to help market our people and programs, and drive interest.
Location, constituent, and take action taxonomies to complement our traditional content hierarchy.
Updated faculty and staff bio pages
A custom events integration with 25Live to ensure we are able to display events by category across the site and retain the sorting functionality desired across campus.
A custom class notes section that allows alumni to share photos, memories, notes, and more anytime they wish.
A companion internal website that focuses on helping students, staff, and faculty get the info they need quickly, and in a way that is organized based on their understanding of institutional operations. It also empowers individual administrative offices and beyond to edit and share public and password-protected content as needed while we work to ensure the main College website remains accessible and focused.
